United Kingdom of Luke
Luke Knitwear for the Winter
Luke 1977 menswear has established itself right in the top league of UK mens designwear.
Whilst it is smart, it is not over the top; and whilst it is very well made clothing, it is not too expensive.
Mainly down to the label's reluctance to open accounts with every high street store, Luke clothing has also maintained a specialist appeal and a great deal of integrity. As such it is also to be seen worn by celebrities such as bands like the Inbetweeners, the Kaiser Chiefs, Dizzie Rascal, as well as stars such as footballers and Ant from I'm A Celebrity.
Even the design of the brand (see logo above) acknowledges the very british roots in this clothing brand and I guess that's why I love it.
Their knitwear and outer garments are perhaps their strongest point and I've always had a soft spot for their chunky knitwear.
For this winter I'm looking at one of these lovely Luke 1977 Knitwear offerings:
'Benefit Cheat'; a funnel neck chuncky knit, large button up cardi, in two winter colours, Black and Marle charcoal grey. Large pockets on the right chest and left side. traditional luke pocket on the back. embroidered luke lion on the shoulder.
'Clanger hooded Cardigan'; a very stylish hooded cardigan; featuring cable knit design to front, full button fastening and two button pockets. Available in marl grey and navy.
